As of the time I wrote this post, I have ordered from Kebabish Express on UberEats five times! I am going to do a separate review for each order – continue reading to find out why I am a repeat customer.
As a student with a limited budget, I tend to order enough food for around at least 2 meals with each delivery so that my delivery cost will be worth it. On this occasion, I ordered the 5-piece Southern Fried Chicken (SFC) wing, and the 2-piece SFC with potato wedges.
When I opened the box, I was really surprised with the huge portion! The pieces of chicken were huge; they were buried by many many pieces of potato wedges. It smelt amazing too!
I usually dislike potato wedges because most places don’t marinade the potatoes all the way in – the inside is usually plain, but salty outside. Kebabish Express always nails their potato wedges! They are well-seasoned all the way in, not too salty, with a nice peppery kick. They’re also slightly crispy on the outside. I’m a huge fan.
When I looked at the size of the SFC chicken piece, I wasn’t sure if it would be well-marinated, but I was happy to be proven wrong. Every bite was flavourful, and the chicken breast piece wasn’t dry at all! Many places over-cook the chicken breast until all the moisture is gone – I really dislike the coarse, sandy texture of overcooked chicken breast.
The crispy and generous coating on the wings had me sold instantly! Biting into the wings, I felt that the chicken skin and coating was a tad too salty, but I loved the crunch and fragrance of the wings.
Overall, really brilliant. And this is why I am a repeat customer!
