Margaret River is one of the most famous wine-producing regions in the word. So when we were there in 2017, we just had to visit a winery! After doing some research online, we decided to visit Flametree Wines.
When we first stepped in, we were very impressed by the beautiful, yet simple decor of the place. We enjoyed the wine tasting very much – we tried red (Cabernet Sauvignon), white (Sauvignon Blanc) and Rosé from a mix of the Embers and SRS range.
*Before I start, bewarned that I like sweet wines, and I am definitely not a sommelier*
I loved the fruity fragrance of the Cabernet Sauvignon. It was dry (maybe just a tiny bit of sweetness) and bitter, possibly due to the tannins (easily felt on my tongue).
The Sauvignon Blanc was quite similar to the Cabernet Sauvignon, except that it was less bitter, I felt like it had a lower concentration of tannins, and also it was a bit sour.
The Rosé had a nice fruity smell (a bit flowery too), a bit sweet, and I couldn’t detect any tannins! Since it was our favourite, we bought a bottle of the Embers Rosé (2017)

We had the Rosé with a nice stir-fry dinner (egg and mushroom noodles, pak choi and chicken) that we cooked.
